This was the second week of persistence with consistency. Running 70.2 miles after running 82 miles the last week was a pure test of will.
I decided that I’d like to become mostly plant-based or what I would call a paleolithic human being. What I mean by that is that I’d eat mostly vegetarian and sporadically have small portions of organic grass-fed meat. A true gatherer-hunter style… not the traditional hunter-gatherer.
So… persistence and pain… these are 2 things that every ultra runner will have to deal with. I have yet to reach that 100-mile pinnacle, although I have been putting myself through consistent hard training regardless of how I feel.
So where ever you are in your life or training, realize things may be hard, maybe painful, and may make you want to quit. When you have these feelings, that’s when the next decision you make will define you at that moment. This is a time where you can break through to the next level in your fitness and how you tackle other challenges in your life.
I APPRECIATE YOU AND WISH YOU THE MOST AWESOME LIFESTYLE.
Be Human Powered!
