Dr. Jay Handt has been creating a huge impact on the Chiropractic profession since 1975 when he first enrolled at New York Chiropractic College. “I firmly believe my mission in life is to constantly help others innately create excellence in their health and life.” In 1978, he founded the New York Chiropractic Life Center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and has been serving the community ever since. Dr. Handt has been consistently chosen as one of the top ten Chiropractors in New York City and received “The Best of NY Chiropractors for 8 years in a row. He has also been honored as a Top Chiropractor in America. Two of his children, Dr. Josh and Dr. Morgan joined him in practice. “We’ve given a new meaning to a family practice. We are a family that takes care of families!” He has another son, Ryan, who is a professional and accomplished photographer.

Making a lasting difference

Life University: Dr. Handt has been serving on the Board of Trustees of Life University since 2008. He is the chairman of the Board’s International Committee and he serves on the Development, Audit and Finance, and Executive Committees.

He was instrumental in the formulation and development of LIFEforce 1000 at Life University, who’s mission is “we will not stop until all men, women and children have access to a Chiropractic adjustment and a Chiropractic education, if they so choose.” Dr. Handt also helped design and develop the experiential portion of the Life Leadership Weekend, allowing thousands of prospective students to discover their passion in life and how a career in Chiropractic can fuel it.

New Beginnings Philosophy Seminar: Dr. Handt has continuously served on the board of the New Beginnings Philosophy Seminar since 1990. He is a team speaker on the their platform. New Beginnings is dedicated to protecting, preserving and perpetuating principled, philosophical Chiropractic.

International Speaker and Author: Dr. Handt is an international speaker, bringing Chiropractic, motivation and NLP communication skills to five continents. He has also written two books: “Retire in Practice,” which he co-authored with his wife, Kathi, and “Your Health, Your Life, Your Decision,” which he co-authored with Dr. Josh Handt and Dr. Morgan Handt.

Awards: Dr. Handt has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. Most recently, he received Life University’s prestigious “LIFEforce 1000 Chiropractor of the Year” award. He holds licenses in New York, New Jersey, Georgia and Florida. He has donated his time and expertise on several Chiropractic Humanitarian trips to the Dominican Republic, Peru and Trinidad, serving as a speaker, teacher and Chiropractor.

Inner Winners Seminars: Since 1988, along with founders and partners Chuck and Ruth Ribley, Dr. Jay and his wife, Kathi, developed Inner Winners Seminars, with programs across the United States. It has now expanded worldwide with programs in Australia and Spain.
